Sports betting in Ghana
Betting leads this market and casino follows it. The accumulator ladder is what Ghanaian books actually compete on, not the welcome offer, and four of the live ones publish no welcome offer at all. This page sets out what the ladders pay, what cash out means on each side of the word, and what nobody publishes.

Ask a Ghanaian punter which book pays more and the answer is about a multiple, not about a signup. 10 of the 12 live sportsbooks publish an accumulator ladder: a percentage added to the winnings on a multiple, climbing with the number of selections. It applies to every qualifying slip rather than once, which is the whole reason it beats a one-off deposit match on any account that lasts longer than a week.
Below is each ladder in the operator's own published wording. Nothing is rounded, converted or summarised into a percentage of our own, because the ladders are structured differently enough that a common figure would be a fiction: some pay on total winnings, some on net winnings, and betPawa's pays as a multiplier that has no cash ceiling to quote.

What the ladder does not do
Every ladder on that table pays on a slip where all the selections win. A bonus of 1000% on a twenty-leg accumulator is 1000% of nothing on the far more likely outcome, and the minimum price attached to each leg means you cannot pad a slip with certainties to reach a rung. Adding selections raises the percentage and lowers the chance of any return at all, and those two facts move in opposite directions on purpose.
The ladders are a reason to prefer one book over another at the slip length you were going to play anyway. They are not a reason to lengthen the slip, they are not a system, and nothing here is a source of income. Where a book publishes a minimum price per leg we have quoted it, because that is the term that decides whether the selections you actually want qualify.
Cash out means two different things in Ghana
Most of the time it means getting money off the betting account and into a MoMo wallet. That is the sense this desk weighs heaviest, and every operator's published wording for it sits on the payment methods page with the Bank of Ghana ceiling that binds before any bookmaker limit does.
The other sense is settling a slip before the final whistle. That one is thinner than the market's marketing suggests. Only 2 of the live books publish rules for anything close to it, and both do it as an early payout on a two-goal lead rather than as a price you can take at any moment. The rest publish insurance instead: money or a bonus back when one selection of a long slip fails, which is a different product with different terms. Where a book publishes neither, this page says so rather than assuming a cash out button exists behind a login we could not open.
Premier Bet is the exception that matters most, and it is not a small one. It has no online account in Ghana at all: no wallet, no deposit, no withdrawal and no casino. Bets are booked online and settled through an agent or by mobile money, so it has no cash out in either sense of the phrase, and any page describing one for this brand is describing a product that does not exist here.
Which books carry what
Nobody publishes a margin. Not one of the 12 live sportsbook records carries a figure for what the book keeps, this desk has not priced a market of its own, and so no sentence on this site says one Ghanaian bookmaker gives better odds than another. What can be checked is which sports a book puts in its navigation, and that is what the table shows. Read it as breadth, not as quality: a book listing Formula 1 is telling you the market exists, not that it prices it well.

What a slip costs to open
The stake floor is the one figure that decides whether a book is usable on a small bankroll, and 5 of the 12 live sportsbooks publish one. The spread is wide enough to matter: the highest is 100 times the lowest, and on a ladder that needs several legs the floor decides how many slips a week you can actually run.

Where the welcome offers are, and are not
9 of the 13 live books publish a welcome offer and 4 publish none. The four with nothing are not gaps in our filing: each was checked across a promotions page, a terms index and a registration flow, and each publishes a running promotion instead. Their own summary of what they run in place of a signup bonus is below.
Betway
No first deposit bonus. Betway Ghana competes on Bet Saver, which gives a losing bet back, and Win Boost, which adds 3% to a double and climbs to 100% on a long multiple.
The 50% up to GH₵200 offer still printed by five affiliate sites, under four different codes, is on none of Betway’s own surfaces: not the promotions page, not the terms index, not the registration walkthrough. One of those sites carries its own note that it was discontinued.
betPawa
No deposit match, by choice. betPawa pays for legs rather than for signing up: the Win Bonus adds up to 1250% to the winnings on a multibet, from three selections at 1.10 or longer, reaching its maximum at sixty legs.
The Win Bonus is a multiplier on winnings, never a cash ceiling, and must never be written as "up to GH₵" anything. The 100% and 200% first deposit claims on affiliate sites are contradicted by betPawa’s own pages, where /promotions, /bonuses and /first-deposit-bonus all 404.
BetFox
No welcome bonus, and BetFox is open about it. The draw is the acca bonus, applied per bet from two selections with no minimum odds, which on a long multiple runs past 1000%.
Premier Bet
No deposit bonus, and no deposits either. Premier Bet Ghana takes bets online but settles through agents or Play and Pay, so there is no wallet to match. What it pays on is the ACCA ladder: 2% at two selections, climbing to 150% at thirty-seven.
Affiliate pages quoting 100% up to GH₵150 and a minimum deposit are describing a product that does not exist in this market.

Winnings are not taxed today, and were until April 2025
A 10% withholding on gross winnings ran from 2023 until 2 April 2025. It went on 2 April 2025 under Act 1129, so a licensed operator pays a winning slip in full now and nothing is deducted at source.
The trap runs both ways. Sites still quoting a 10 per cent deduction are two years out of date, and sites telling you Ghana has always been tax free are describing a different country. The withholding was real, it was charged on gross winnings rather than on profit, and any calculation about a period before April 2025 has to include it. The 20 per cent on gross gaming revenue that remains is a bill the operator pays, and it does not come out of your slip.

What is an acca bonus in Ghana, and is it free money?
It is a percentage added to the winnings on a multiple, and it rises with the number of legs on the slip. 10 of the 12 live sportsbooks publish one. It is not free money: the bonus only pays if every selection wins, and most ladders set a minimum price per leg, so adding legs to reach a bigger percentage lowers the chance the slip returns anything at all.
Which Ghanaian bookmaker gives the best odds?
This desk does not answer that, because it has not priced a market. Not one of the 12 live sportsbook records carries a published margin, so any site telling you one book prices better than another across the board is telling you something it did not measure. Compare the price on the specific match you want, on the day.
Can I cash out a bet in Ghana?
Ask about a specific book, because the wording is doing two jobs. In this market "cash out" usually means getting money into your MoMo wallet, which is covered on our payment methods page. Settling a slip early is a different feature and only 2 of the live books publish rules for anything like it, in the form of early payout on a two-goal lead. Premier Bet has no online account at all, so it has no cash out in either sense.
Do I pay tax on my betting winnings in Ghana?
Not today. A 10% withholding on gross winnings ran from 2023 until 2 April 2025. It was repealed on 2 April 2025, so a licensed operator pays winnings in full now. Anyone telling you Ghana has always been tax free is also wrong: the withholding was real, it applied to gross winnings rather than to profit, and it ran for two years.
What is a banker?
A selection you are confident enough about to build the rest of the slip around, usually a short price carried on every combination. It is a habit rather than a market: no bookmaker here offers a "banker" bet type, and calling a leg a banker does not change its price or its odds of landing.
How many legs should an acca have?
Fewer than the ladder invites. BetFox's ladder runs to sixty selections and betPawa's multiplier reaches its maximum at sixty, which reads as an argument for a long slip. It is the opposite: every leg added multiplies the chance of one of them failing, and a ladder pays nothing on a slip that loses. The bonus is a reason to prefer one book over another at the same slip length, not a reason to lengthen the slip.
