Accra desk · Ghana
Which bookmaker actually pays you, and how fast.
14 bookmakers researched, 13 licensed and taking bets in Ghana today. This desk puts them in order on one question before any other: what does each one publish about getting money back to your wallet. Getting paid is 34 of the 100 points. The size of a welcome offer is 20.
- Every figure comes from what the operator publishes, or the page says nobody publishes it.
- Nobody buys a position. Books paying no welcome offer at all can finish above books that do.
- No cash out has been timed by this desk. A speed on this site is either the bookmaker's own wording or a figure from published reports, and every page says which of the two it is.
The 10 bookmakers with a score
Three more bookmakers are licensed and live and carry no score. 4 of them run sites that will not open from outside Ghana, and the rest publish a cashier with no cash out speed in it, which is 34 per cent of this model. They are in the full table with that sentence attached.
Every bookmaker, filterable →Betting leads. Casino follows.
Ghanaian search runs 175,100 a month on sports betting against 40,200 on casino, and the gap shows up in what the books actually sell. The offer that moves money here is not a deposit match, it is the accumulator bonus: a percentage added to the winnings on a multiple, climbing with every leg you put on the slip.
That is why this site refuses to order bookmakers by the size of a welcome offer. A GH₵500 match is used once. An acca ladder that pays two per cent at two legs and 150 per cent at thirty-seven is with you on every slip you place all season, and 4 of the books here have decided it is the better product.
We publish no tips, no predictions and no sure bets. The Gaming Commission's advertising guidelines forbid any suggestion of an assured win, and a page promising one would be lying to you twice: about the bet and about the rules it is written under.

The money moves on mobile money
Not on cards and not on bank transfers. All nine bookmakers whose cashier could be read take MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash and AirtelTigo Money, and the wallets differ by ceiling rather than by acceptance.
| Rail | Deposit from | Withdrawal from | Money out | Bookmakers |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MTN Mobile Money universal | GH₵1.00 | GH₵1.00 | instant below each operator's auto-approval threshold | 9 of 9 100% |
| The default rail. Minimums cluster at GH₵1 to deposit; withdrawal minimums run GH₵1 to GH₵10 by operator and there is no industry figure. No payout median in minutes is recorded here on purpose — see _unverified. Operator side: free at every operator that publishes a position. | ||||
| Telecel Cash universal · was Vodafone Cash | GH₵1.00 | GH₵1.00 | same as MoMo at the same operator | 9 of 9 100% |
| Telecel Cash is the current and only correct name. Telecel Group took 70% of Vodafone Ghana in 2023, announced the full rebrand for end-February 2024 and completed it in March 2024; Vodafone Ghana Mobile Financial Services became Telecel Cash in the same exercise. The naming is still split across the market: betPawa says Telecel on its own cashier, verified first-party on 2026-08-09. The operators previously recorded as still printing 'Vodafone Cash' — Soccabet, Premier Bet and BetFox body copy — were not re-verified in this pass and carry forward from the earlier reading; treat them as needing a re-check before any page names them. Nearly all affiliate copy, including pages purporting to describe betPawa, still says Vodafone Cash. SportyBet routes Telecel deposits through a voucher-code flow rather than a direct prompt, which is one step more than MTN. Operator side: free where published. | ||||
| AirtelTigo Money universal but smallest | GH₵1.00 | GH₵1.00 | same as MoMo at the same operator | 9 of 9 100% |
| The telco rebranded to AT and calls the wallet ATMONEY, but no bookmaker uses that label, so pages should say AirtelTigo Money to match what a user sees at checkout. betPawa caps AirtelTigo deposits at GH₵25,000 for MTN and Telecel against GH₵10,000 for AirtelTigo — a deposit maximum, not a withdrawal one, and the clearest documented per-rail disadvantage in the market. As of 2026-08-09 betPawa additionally shows AirtelTigo as 'Currently unavailable' while MTN and Telecel are live, so a page must not present it as an option there without checking. Whether that outage is temporary is unknown. Operator side: free where published. | ||||
No telco fee is shown on any row. Neither MTN, Telecel nor AirtelTigo publishes a tariff we could verify, and every figure circulating for one traces back to an aggregator rather than to the network.
What the central bank lets a wallet hold
The real ceiling on a large betting withdrawal, and it is set by the central bank rather than by any bookmaker. A minimum-KYC wallet cannot receive more than GH₵3,000 in a day, more than GH₵10,000 in a month, or hold more than GH₵5,000, so a big win has to be split or the wallet upgraded. The monthly cap is the one that actually binds: splitting a large payout across consecutive days does not get round it, and only an upgrade to Medium or Enhanced KYC removes it, because monthly value is unlimited at both of those tiers. Enhanced KYC is the full-KYC ceiling: GH₵25,000 a day and a GH₵75,000 balance. The ceilings below are Bank of Ghana limits, effective 2024-03-01, and no bookmaker can lift them.
| Wallet tier | Into the wallet, per day | Balance ceiling |
|---|---|---|
| Minimum KYC | GH₵3,000 | GH₵5,000 |
| Medium KYC | GH₵15,000 | GH₵40,000 |
| Enhanced KYC | GH₵25,000 | GH₵75,000 |
The Electronic Transfer Levy was cut from 1.5% to 1% at the start of 2023 and then repealed outright on 2 April 2025, and the GRA told charging entities to stop deducting the same day and refund anything taken after it. No government levy sits on a mobile money transfer today. Money moves between MTN, Telecel and AirtelTigo wallets: GhIPSS runs the switch behind all three, and it carries wallet-to-wallet transfers across networks as well as wallet-to-bank, bank-to-wallet and wallet-to-e-zwich. A punter reaches it from the mobile money short code they already use, so the network a payout arrives on is rarely the network the money has to stay on.
MTN carries MTN held 72.51% of Ghanaian mobile voice subscriptions, NCA June 2026, which is why every book leads with it. Telecel Cash is the old Vodafone Cash and the market has not finished renaming it: some cashiers say Telecel and some still say Vodafone, and they are the same wallet. AirtelTigo is the smallest and the one most likely to carry a lower ceiling than the other two at the same bookmaker.
The Electronic Transfer Levy was cut from 1.5% to 1% at the start of 2023 and then repealed outright on 2 April 2025, and the GRA told charging entities to stop deducting the same day and refund anything taken after it. No government levy sits on a mobile money transfer today. A card is a way in and not a way out: 3 of the readable cashiers take one and none of them pays a win back to it. Cryptocurrency appears at 1 licensed operator here, and the Gaming Commission's own anti money laundering guidelines treat a crypto deposit into a gaming account as a red flag, so it is worth knowing before you use it rather than after.

How the 100 points are split
The cash out wording an operator publishes, its withdrawal minimum and whether it charges to pay you.
Whether a welcome offer exists at all, how much of its terms are public, and the offers running now.
Published game counts, how many studios it names, and whether Aviator is in the lobby.
Live chat around the clock, a phone line, an email address, a WhatsApp number.
The Gaming Commission of Ghana register, how many licences, whether a number is published, years trading.
A criterion is scored from what an operator actually publishes. Where nothing is published the criterion is not scored and it is not defaulted either, because a default is a figure we invented sitting in a column that says it was measured. The score is then computed over the weight that could be read, and every page states how much of the model that was.
Two things stop that from rewarding a thin record. A book needs three of the five criteria before it gets a number at all, and it needs the getting paid criterion specifically. A publication whose first question is how fast money reaches you cannot put a figure on a bookmaker that answers it with silence.
That rule costs the table some of the largest brands in Ghana, and they stay on the page with the reason printed rather than quietly dropped. 8 of the 10 scored books could be read on all five criteria.

Is betting legal in Ghana, and who licenses it?
Yes. The Gaming Commission of Ghana licenses sports betting and online casino separately and publishes the register of who holds what. Every bookmaker on this site is on that register. The legal age is 18 throughout the country, with no provincial or regional variation.
Are betting winnings taxed in Ghana?
Not today. The 10 per cent withholding on gross winnings introduced in 2023 was repealed on 2 April 2025 under Act 1129, so a licensed operator pays a winning slip in full. It is worth being exact about this, because both halves get told wrong: winnings are not taxed now, and Ghana was not always tax free. The 20 per cent tax on gross gaming revenue that remains is the operator's bill and does not come out of your payout.
Which bookmakers publish no welcome offer at all?
Betway, betPawa, BetFox and Premier Bet. That is a checked answer rather than a gap: their promotions pages, terms and registration flows carry no first deposit bonus. Any "100% up to GH₵X" figure you see for those brands on another site is not on any page they publish. What they run instead is an accumulator bonus, slip insurance or cashback. See what each one runs.
How fast will a bookmaker pay me?
Most publish "instant" on mobile money, and instant means below their own auto-approval threshold rather than always. This desk has timed no withdrawal in Ghana. Where a row here carries a figure in minutes it came from published reports rather than from a stopwatch of ours, where it carries a phrase it is the bookmaker's own, and the page always says which. The model is published in full.
Can I withdraw to a Visa or Mastercard?
No Ghanaian bookmaker was found paying winnings back to a card. Cards fund an account at a small number of books and payouts revert to mobile money or a bank account. The constraint is a card scheme one rather than a Gaming Commission rule.
What is the largest amount a mobile money wallet can take?
The ceiling is set by the Bank of Ghana and not by the bookmaker. A minimum KYC wallet cannot receive more than 3,000 cedis in a day or hold more than 5,000, so a large win has to be split across days, taken to a bank, or the wallet upgraded first.
Is there a gambling helpline in Ghana?
There is no national problem gambling helpline, which is why this site prints no number. The two numbers that circulate elsewhere as Ghanaian gambling helplines are the Gaming Commission's enquiry and complaints lines, and presenting them as counselling would misdescribe what someone reaches. What does exist is a deposit limit and self exclusion at the bookmaker itself, and a complaints route at the Commission.
