The method, published in full
How the 100 points are earned
Every score on this site is computed from facts a bookmaker publishes about itself, weighted the way this page sets out and no other way. There is one number that matters more than the rest: getting paid is 34 of the 100, and the size of a welcome offer is 20.
One thing to be clear about before any of it. This desk has not timed a withdrawal in Ghana. Not one figure on this site came from a stopwatch of ours. A payout figure here is one of two things: a median from published reports, ours or somebody else's reading of what a bookmaker does, or the operator's own wording banded onto the scale. Every page that quotes a speed says which. When we have timed cash outs ourselves the minutes will go into the fact base as measurements and this paragraph will change to say so.
There is a third kind of number and it is not scored. Where our own research file carries a payout figure that was set rather than read, including one chosen as the middle of the market so a thin record would not look like a blank, this model drops it and falls back to what the bookmaker actually publishes. An estimate in a data file is the same invention as a default in the code, one directory further away from anyone checking it.
The five criteria
Getting paid
34 pointsThe cash out wording an operator publishes, its withdrawal minimum and whether it charges to pay you.
Offers and terms
20 pointsWhether a welcome offer exists at all, how much of its terms are public, and the offers running now.
Games and Aviator
18 pointsPublished game counts, how many studios it names, and whether Aviator is in the lobby.
Support
14 pointsLive chat around the clock, a phone line, an email address, a WhatsApp number.
Licence and record
14 pointsThe Gaming Commission of Ghana register, how many licences, whether a number is published, years trading.
The five add to 100. Inside a criterion the inputs carry equal weight, deliberately: the only weighting this publication stands behind is the split above, and a second hidden set one level down would be a model no reader could check against this page.
What happens when a bookmaker publishes nothing
A criterion is scored from what an operator actually publishes. Where it publishes nothing the criterion is not scored, and this is the part worth understanding: it is not scored as a zero and it is not filled with an average either. A default is a number we made up sitting in a column that claims to have read one.
The score is then computed over the weight that could be read, and every page states how much of the model that was. On its own that rewards a thin record, because a criterion an operator does not publish cannot drag its average down. So two gates stand in front of a number.
Three of the five, minimum
A figure computed from a licence entry and a phone line is a guess wearing two decimal places. Below that threshold there is no number at all.
Getting paid specifically
It is 34 per cent of the model and the reason this desk exists. A bookmaker that publishes nothing about how fast money reaches you cannot be scored by a publication whose first question is how fast money reaches you.
Where a record is incomplete the score carries a range beside it: what it would be if every unread criterion came in at the bottom of the scale, and at the top. A score computed over part of the model and one computed over the whole of it are not the same kind of number, and renormalising quietly hides that. 8 of the 10 scored bookmakers could be read on all five criteria and carry no range.
How a tie is settled
Scores are published to the point, so ties happen. Two bookmakers on the same figure are separated first by how much of the model each could be scored on, so the better evidenced one goes first. After that the heaviest criterion decides, which is what this page's own argument says should decide. Name order is the last resort, so the table is identical on every build rather than shuffling between deploys.
Settling a tie alphabetically sounds neutral and is not: a site weighing getting paid at 34 that then puts the slower bookmaker above the faster one, because of a letter, spends the next paragraph arguing against itself.
What this desk will not do
- Order bookmakers by the size of an offer. It is 20 of the 100 and it is mostly a measure of how much of the terms are public. A book paying nothing to sign up can and does finish above books that pay a great deal.
- Print a figure the operator does not publish without saying so. Most welcome offers in this market are numbers no bookmaker states anywhere we could read. Where that is the case the page says which affiliate sources carry it, and how many, rather than crediting it to the operator.
- Fill an empty field with a plausible number. A stake floor, a withdrawal minimum or a bonus ceiling invented to complete a table is a limit put on a real company that it never set. The cell says the operator does not publish it.
- Publish tips, predictions or sure bets. The Gaming Commission's advertising guidelines forbid any suggestion of an assured win, and there is no version of that page which is both useful and true.
- Print a gambling helpline number for Ghana. There is no national one. The two numbers circulating elsewhere as Ghanaian gambling helplines are the Commission's enquiry and complaints lines, and sending someone in a bad hour to a switchboard is worse than saying plainly that no service exists.
- Score a game library out of a sitemap. One casino here publishes 15,901 game URLs without separating slots from live tables. That total is not a slots count, so its game counts stay empty rather than becoming the largest number on the site.
What the model could read, book by book
Every bookmaker licensed and live in Ghana, with the share of the model that could be scored on it. Four of them run sites that will not open from outside Ghana, which is why 9 cashiers are readable out of 13.
| Bookmaker | Score | Model read | Criteria not read | Why there is no score |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| MSport | 92 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| Wiwi Casino | 91 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| Bangbet | 91 | 82% | Games and Aviator | scored |
| SportyBet | 88 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| Soccabet | 88 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| Betway | 87 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| betPawa | 82 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| 1xBet | 81 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| BetFox | 75 | 100% | none, the whole model | scored |
| Premier Bet | 69 | 82% | Games and Aviator | scored |
| 22Bet | none | 48% | Getting paid, Games and Aviator | The site does not open from outside Ghana, so nothing it publishes about paying you could be read. |
| Betwinner | none | 48% | Getting paid, Games and Aviator | The site does not open from outside Ghana, so nothing it publishes about paying you could be read. |
| Melbet | none | 52% | Getting paid, Support | The site does not open from outside Ghana, so nothing it publishes about paying you could be read. |
One further brand in the fact base has left the market and is never scored, because there is nothing live to score. The full table with offers, rails and stake floors is on the betting sites page.
The rules this copy is written under
Betting in Ghana is licensed by the Gaming Commission of Ghana, the legal age is 18 throughout the country, and the Commission's advertising guidelines bind material that functions as an operator's advertisement. In practice that means this site.
- Any suggestion of an assured win, a sure bet or guaranteed profit
- Celebrities or influencers endorsing an operator
- A character shown as wealthy, or any implication that betting brings success or income
- Cartoon characters, children's music or anything styled for a young audience
- Unsubstantiated comparative claims about a competing bookmaker
Each of those is a thing you will not find on this site, and a couple of them are the reason pages here read drier than the competition. A page cannot promise a sure bet, cannot show a person made wealthy by betting, and cannot put an unsubstantiated comparison in a bookmaker's mouth. Both requirements sit in the footer of every page: the age notice and the regulator.
Asked about the model
Does a bookmaker pay to be higher on the page?
No, and the arithmetic above is the reason you do not have to take that on trust. The score is computed from published facts with the weights printed at the top of this page, and commission is not one of the five criteria. Some links here pay this site when an account is opened. None of them moves a row.
Why is the size of the welcome offer worth so little?
Because a deposit match is used once and getting paid happens every time. It is 20 of the 100 points, and even that is mostly about how much of the terms an operator publishes rather than how big the headline is. A 100 per cent match with the playthrough behind a login scores below a smaller offer that states its wagering and its expiry.
What happens when a bookmaker publishes nothing at all?
The criterion is not scored, and it is not defaulted either. A default is a number we invented sitting in a column that says it was read. Where fewer than three criteria can be read, or where getting paid specifically cannot, the operator carries no score and the page says which of the two it was.
Have you actually timed a withdrawal?
Not in Ghana, not yet, and this site will not pretend otherwise. A payout figure here is either a median from published reports or the bookmaker's own wording, and it is labelled as one or the other everywhere it appears. When this desk has timed withdrawals the minutes go into the fact base as measurements, the criterion reads those instead, and the wording on these pages changes with them.
Why are some of the biggest brands in Ghana not scored?
Because their sites do not open from outside Ghana, or their cashier carries no cash out speed. Neither is a mark against them and neither is scored as a zero. They stay on the full table with the reason printed, because a brand quietly missing from a comparison reads as an oversight and none of these is one.
How often does this change?
The fact base carries the date each record was researched and every page carries the date it was published. A score moves when a bookmaker changes what it publishes, not on a schedule, and a figure that has not been rechecked is not restated as if it had been.
